After your chosen period of time the sensor will automatically activate the connected call point to alert the carer, prompting them to check in on a vulnerable resident. It ensures that scheduled checks are completed on time.

It also offers a secure and convenient way of preventing Falls. The Extra care sensor also has the ability to connect a bed / chair sensor pad or floor mat. You can then monitor a resident getting up from a chair or out of a bed. If they do move from the monitored position for longer than 5 seconds the Extra care sensor will raise an alarm on the Nurse Call system.

The Extra Care sensor comes in two variants, Wired or Wireless. 

• Wired plugs into any Nurse Call system.
• Wireless doesn't need to be plugged in to a Nurse Call system and can send messages that it has been triggered along with its location directly to a pager or to a i2 / i3 wireless display.
